It's unnecessary to use rice milk, while having other alternate of milks available in market. Avoiding usage of rice milk would conserve carbon footprints, and other resources utilised for its production.

3 things that I didn't know until I came across the sources were:
1. I didn't know that Rice had a much greater carbon footprint than other alternative milks.
2. I didn't know that producing 1 liter of soy milk required 297 liters of water. Extension of how much water was to be wasted.
3. I didn't know that rice paddies were flooded to stimulate plant growth, which decomposes without oxygen producing the potent greenhouse gas, methane.

2 things that surprised me were:
1. That less protein could lead to kwashirokor which after further research is an enlarged liver with fatty infiltrates.
2. I didn't know that during World War 1, Haber developed both chlorine and mustard gas, which contributed to the death of over 70 000 troops.

1 action that can make a difference is:
1. Drinking alternative milk will help us reduce carbon footprint and decrease the amount of production that goes in creating cows milk. This will also benefit our health and fulfill our nutrition requirements.
-Rhea.

3 -
Firstly, I didn't know that the harber process of mixing nitrogen from the air and hydrogen at a particular pressure and heat creates an ammonia fertilizer and is helping us feed the growing population even till today.

Secondly, I didn't know that producing 1 litre of soy milk takes only 297 litres of water but cow's milk takes 1000 litres of water.

Thirdly,
I didn't know about the various diseases you can have, when you have too little vitamins. For example, you can get the following diseases when you consume too less of the corresponding vitamins.

Vitamin A - eye problems
Vitamin B - anemia
Vitamin C - scurvy
Vitamin D - rickets
Vitamin E- muscle weakness
2-
The first thing that surprised me is the Harber creation of chlorine and mustard gas killed 70,000 troops.

The second that surprised me is that the production, packaging and transportation of cow's milk is responsible for 4% of all human caused greenhouse gas emissions.

1- The one action that I will take that can make a difference is that I will start drinking soy milk instead of cow milk. To produce 1 litre of soy milk, 297 litres of water is needed. Compared to the 1000 litres of water required for 1 litre of cow milk, switching to drinking soy milk will lead in saving 703 litres of water. Moreover, soy milk consists of the same protein as cow's milk and consists of omega-3 fatty acids which improve heart health.

3 Things I didn't know:
- An innovative diet has ecological impacts.
- Ammonium fertilizer makes it possible for us to feed 8 billion people.
-The carbon footprint gets affected by what we eat and consume.

2 Things that surprised me:
- Fat is also an equally important part of a diet.
- Fertilizer used to grow crops for food was also used in chemical weaponry.

1 action that makes a difference:
- It is important that when we eat our food we keep in mind how it is affecting the environment and us. For instance a balanced diet should have significant portions of carbohydrates, minerals, proteins, fats and vitamins,

This way no plastic is used for packaging.
