Os besouros têm seis pernas distribuídas entre a parte frontal e traseira dos segmentos corporais, mas quando ainda são larvas, todas as pernas ficam na frente do corpo. The name comes from its shell, which is just like a turtle's, but decorated with an impressive golden and transparent pattern, making it extremely sparkling.

Its wings are protected under this hard shell and its color can vary according to the insect's hydration.

However, despite the miniscule size of the insect’s mind, some insects are actually quite smart. In fact, some insects have more in common with humans than you might even realize.

Insect Intelligence

Much like our own brains, there is a lot of mystery regarding insect intelligence. As humans, we tend to think of intelligence as it relates to our own cognitive ability. When we think of intelligent animals, the usual suspects come to mind – apes, dolphins, elephants, and octopi. That’s because these animals demonstrate human-like aptitude such as the ability to solve problems, socialize, and form memories. But, what if we were to tell you that certain insects possess these capabilities as well? Below are two insects that have seriously impressive intelligence.

1. ARE BEETLES INTELLIGENT??
Studies of intelligence in insects have shown that such animals are endowed with a cognitive device capable of providing them with various actions that be understood as signs of intelligence, such as being able to establish a flight plan

2. ARE THERE BEETLES IN THE DESERT??
Beetles Live Everywhere.
You can find beetles almost anywhere on the planet.
They inhabit both terrestrial and freshwater aquatic habitats, from forests to grasslands, deserts to tundras, and from beaches to mountaintops. You can even find beetles on some of the world's most remote islands.

3. DO BEETLES SLEEP??
insects do sleep. Insects clearly rest at times and are aroused only by strong stimuli: the heat of day, the darkness of night, or perhaps a sudden attack by a predator.

4. DO BEETLES FART, PEE, AND POOP?
insects don't pee like we do. "In general, they eliminate water and uric acid with feces when they defecate. That doesn't mean they don't have a urinary system. It exists, but it is integrated into the excretor apparatus. The main organ of this apparatus are the so-called Malpighi tubules, long and thin channels that extract from the "blood" (or hemolymph) the substances that will be excreted. One of its extremities is connected to the posterior part of the intestine. After collecting the material to be disposed of, Malpighi's tubules transfer them to the intestine, from where they are expelled through the anus

5. HOW DO BEETLES COMMUNICATE?
Beetles have a variety of ways to communicate, including the use of pheromones. The mountain pine beetle emits a pheromone to attract other beetles to a tree. The mass of beetles are able to overcome the chemical defenses of the tree. After the tree's defenses have been exhausted, the beetles emit an anti-aggregation pheromone. This species can stridulate to communicate, but others may use sound to defend themselves when attacked.

6. DO THEY LIVE IN BUILDINGS?
