Not only do our kids rely on you deeply in every way, but you have always been a source of sanity, reason, validation, knowledge and experience for new teachers like me; most importantly you've been willing to share that when you've got more on your plates than anyone at the school can ever know, understand or appreciate. "Aunty Val" is the perfect puzzle piece to our classroom and our team. She loves and cares for each of the kids, pays attention to their strengths, needs, likes, dislikes, and uses this information to build special relationships with each student in the room. Val is motivated, self-sufficient, and goes above and beyond to support our classroom. It wouldn't be the same without her. She has tricks up her sleeve that come in handy in the most ideal times, and she is willing to do whatever you ask of her. I appreciate her humor, her understanding, and her openness and willingness to try new things or do things in new ways. She truly is in it for the kids, but this year in particular she is in it for not only the kids but our team as well. We all love her so much!
