But this would change due to rising action against the Germans. Initially Warsaw was never a part of operation tempest but this would change in July of 1944 when after days of discussion something had to be done.

 However this started way before 1943 and to really understand what happened we need to back track to 1939 during the invasion of Poland. When German forces were invading to the west of Poland most of the Polish forces were occupied fighting the Nazis leaving the east to a counter attack by the Soviets who at the time were allied with the Nazis causing Poland to fall. But the Soviets occupation of Poland didn’t last long and they were booted out of the country by the Nazis who had back stabbed them. The Polish government in exile made a treaty with the Soviets for help in the war effort but due to not being on good terms the Soviets never really honored their pact with Poland. Now the year is 1944 and the Polish resistance groups know that the only way to get recognized by the world is to start an attack against the Germans to free their country and in August of 1944 they did just that.
