  • The best way to learn to write is to read! Not just books, but also literary magazines and journals. Some journals especially for young people are linked below.

    • It's a very good idea to be familiar with a publication before you submit to it. You can do this by reading sample issues online, subscribing, or seeing if the publication is available at your local library.

    • When you're ready to submit a piece, look for "Submit" or "Submission Guidelines" on the publication's website. It's very important to follow all directions!
