         <description><![CDATA[<div>In Ivan Pavlov's experiment, when a dog was presented with food he would ring the bell letting the dog know it was time to eat and the dog began salivating. Later on in the trial, when the dog heard the bell ring, that bell alone was enough to make the dog start salivating because the dog was conditioned to begin salivating when ever the dog hears the bell. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Example of classical conditioning: If someone pops a balloon next to your head, you will startle and jump. The jump is defined as a unconditioned response. If a word is associated with the balloon pop then that word becomes a learned stimulus. If the word is paired with the balloon pop enough the stimulus will become conditioned. <br>Operant conditioning is different from classical conditioning in which is includes voluntary behaviors such as showing up to class everyday or driving the speed limit. It involves an association between a behavior and a consequence that follows it. For example, a dog performs a trick and earns a treat. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Example for Positive Reinforcement: Your boss gives you a bonus check for your hard work so you keep on doing your job well to keep getting compliment and bonus checks from your boss.&nbsp;<br>Example for Negative Reinforcement: A student does not have to take a final exam because of their perfect attendance. A behavior is strengthened because something was taken away.&nbsp;<br>Example for Positive Punishment: Feeling sick after eating too much. When something is added to weaken or decrease the behaviors. <br>Example for Negative Punishment: Getting grounded for coming home after curfew. When something is taken away to weaken or decrease behaviors. </div>]]></description>
