I worked in behavioral health for 12 years as a counselor for children and families. About 6 years ago I started working part-time in an English Language Learner program, 3rd grade phonics and writing, and then taught 5th - 8th grade ELA as a long-term substitute.  After leaving that position (I loved so much) due to moving, I decided to pursue a second career as a special education teacher.
