Mrs. Jay, a principal at a K-12 school decided to do an inservice over the CCSS during the fourth quarter of the school year. She wanted her presentation to be catchy but she wasn't as technologically advanced as some of her colleagues. She made a LiveBinder and a PowerPoint presentation. Her husband suggested Prezi instead of the PowerPoint she had initially planned on using. She was unsure of it but, after her husband helped her get the Prezi done she did a great job and the inservice went very well. To help her prepare for the inservice she also used Survey Monkey to allow teachers to complete a survey so she knew what the teachers needed to learn and talk about.

I found that the instructional strategy 3-2-1 was used. The teachers were able to give three things they believed they already knew, they were able to give 2 things they wanted to learn and one question that was related to the overall concept. The teachers were given a survey to fill out so they were able to answer questions that showed what the teachers knew and what they needed to learn more about. At the inservice the teachers where actually able to ask their question. I like this instructional strategy because you are able to see what the students know, what they think they will learn and then they are able to ask a question to get a deeper meaning.
