I have recently purchased a laptop that is enabling me to work at home and on the go. I have made time for university and freeing up my schedule was a hard challenge to over come. I am also going to begin preparing for the placement fair at the university in a few weeks. The lateral thinking problems made me realize that I will need a big improvement in this area; the problems seemed to be really challenging but they were actually easier than I thought. My group had 3/5 correct answers. We tended overthink and we missed the easiest solutions that were right in front of us. This tutorial made me become more focused on my creative/lateral thinking skills. During this "interview" activity stage i got to see what sort of person my peers were, for example they stated their weakness, which allowed me to get an insight on the type of person they are. I found the materials for this weeks session to be extremely helpful in the preparation for my assessment centre and interview. It has provoked thought about appropriate forms of communication and presentation and how this could be adapted depending on the culture and degree of formality within the workplace.
