Hi Everyone! I'm very excited to be here and learn with and from you all. I was a 2014 Teach For America fellow in the United States and then worked on staff for a few years. With TFA, I participated in a few different culturally responsive pedagogy conversations over the years and my goal for this course is to share what I have learned while also learning about what being culturally responsive means outside of the United States context - especially in more homogeneous societies. Hello, this is Ikuko from Teach For Japan. I have worked for 4 years at TFJ as a Program Manager and been developing our training curriculum for our fellows. I am proud of our fellows and our work. The last 2 years I was teaching French in a regional school of Armenia, very near to the capital by distance but very far from it by its challenges. At the moment I am teaching French in Anania Shirakatsy International Lyceum, IB Diploma Program. Also I am Member of Alumni Advisory Council of Teach For Armenia and I try to do my best to solve educational problems that are typical to my country . I adore walking and enjoying the warm weather outside, just wandering different people in the streets and have a funny time with my family and friends . my name is Nina and I am a second year fellow with Teach First Deutschland [Germany]. Actually this week is my last week and that makes me really sad. In Germany it is not that easy to stay at the schools after you finished the program....
Right now I teach refugees, in the age of eleven to fourteen years, german language, mathematics, english and german culture. To promote a growth mindset and realize leadership projects by students for students and coaching are my main work. I am also part of the “Bildungsfestival“ (Education Festival) – The “Bildungsfestival“ is an education and networking event for adolescent project groups from structurally weak school districts. The four-days event is organized by fellows, alumni and students from all over Germany.

This is how I met Teach for All. More or less year ago I've decided to start my journey of launching Teach for Poland!

Hello, everyone! My name is Miguel. I am an Enseña Ecuador Alumnus who finished the program at the beginning of this year. Later I joined Enseña Ecuador's staff as a Leadership Experience Coordinator (fellow coach), and now I am leading our operations in a new region in the Ecuadorian Amazon as a Regional Manager, and I'm also going to coach 10 new fellows during their first year.
I am really excited to learn culturally sustaining pedagogy as in the schools of our Amazon region, there are several communities of native nationalities (our country has more than 14 different indigenous nationalities within territory) and I would like to help our fellows keep a safe cultural classroom to foster identities and education.

I could say I'm pretty over active during my first year because I think teacher is not just a teacher who teach in classroom. In addition, there is a slightly number of students' drop out in my school and most of them didn't stay with their parents. So, I want to improve students' well-being as well.

Hi Everyone! I work in new Mexico with Teach For America! I was a 2005 Teach For America corps member, which brought me from the state of Michigan (where I grew up) to the state of New Mexico, where I taught on the Navajo reservation. I taught in my placement school for 5 years before moving to Albuquerque, New Mexico to work at a charter school called the Native American Community Academy. The mission of the school is to achieve academic excellence through culturally relevant and identity affirming curriculum as well as holistic wellness practices. I taught at the school for 3 years and then became a school leader there for 4 years. This past August, I joined the staff of Teach For America New Mexico and have been overseeing our corps member development and alumni affairs. (that's me all the way on the left)
