When they want to be picked up, they put their arms up, if they are hungry they pretend to eat or if they know how to say “apaapa” and they say that. If they are tired they’ll cry or yawn. If they want a toy or something they’ll point to it or look at the item.

The way babies communicate, they cry or fuss around when they’re tired or hungry, if they already ate, it can be from tiredness or hungry for more milk. At around 6m they babble and learn to say their first words, it can be from hearing the language or frequently speaking the words. It can be “amaama “ “apaapa” “mom” or “dad” and that’s when they first speak words, that’s in my opinion.
