Shahadah
- one's faith towards Allah and his messenger
Salaah
- doing the 5 "wajib" prayers during our entire lifetime
Zakat
- giving one's wealth ( following the stated criteria ) to those in need 
Fasting
- fasting during Ramadhan to reenact poor people's struggles ; to teach us to always be grateful 
Haji
- the act of pilgrimage to Mecca and fulfilling the requirements under stated laws

We as Muslims , must believe that Allah is our one true God as the world doesn't exist on its own , rather created by Allah

2. Belief in Angels
 
Angels are beings created by Allah whose whole purpose is to obey His orders without questioning 

" Who disobey not, (from executing) the commands they receive from Allah, but do that which they are commanded. "

Qur’an - Chapter 66, Verse 6

3. Belief in God's Revealed books

There have been many scriptures revealed throughout the history of mankind. Allah tells us about a few of the names of the scriptures in the Qur’an.

i. Psalms - David
ii. Torah - Moses
iii. Gospel - Jesus
iv. Quran - Muhammad

It is mandatory for Muslims to believe in the books which Allah has revealed and in the prophets and messengers

4. Belief in the Messengers of God

There are 25 messengers who have been mentioned by name in the Qur’an. They include: Adam, Idrees, Nooh (Noah), Hood, Salih, Ibrahim (Abraham), Lut (Lot), Ismail, Ishaq (Isaac), Ya’qoob (Jacob), Yusuf (Joseph), Shu’ayb, Ayoob (Job), Dhu’l-Kifl, Moosa (Moses), Haroon (Aaron), Dawood (David), Sulaymaan (Solomon), Ilyaas (Elias), al-Yasa’, Yunus (Jonah), Zakaria, Yahya, ‘Isa (Jesus) and Muhammad – blessings and peace be upon them all.

And we must know and acknowledge each one of them

" And [We sent] messengers about whom We have related [their stories] to you before and messengers about whom We have not mentioned to you. And to Musa (Moses) Allah spoke directly. "

Qur'an - Chapter 4, Verse 164

5. Belief in Judgement Day
 
The day where everyone is judge by Allah upon their deeds during their life and whether they are casted into Jannah or Jahanam

6. Belief in Divine Decree

The act of knowing that the events that happened have already been foreseen and planned by Allah

Reading Quran strengthens your connection with Almighty Allah. Read it with all your heart and soul even if it's only 1 Ayat per day. Read, pause and reflect. Focus on the translation. Focus on understanding what is written in the Holy book. Quran is the solution to all your problems. It is filled with Baraka. So if you haven’t prayed namaz or read Quran in a while, get up now and perform wudu, take your prayer mat, pray and read the Quran. It’s never too late to come back to Almighty Allah. Insha’Allah It will strengthen your connection with Allah and provide you comfort.

2. Believe in Allah’s mercy

Believing in Allah’s mercy is an important aspect of religion. No matter how low you are feeling right now, just remember that this too shall pass. Allah is closer to you than your jugular vein, He loves you more than 70 mothers. He will never abandon you. Just trust Him with all your heart and hand over your affairs to Him.

3. Pray 

No matter how many prayers you have missed, try to perform your next salah. Even if you pray with wavering concentration-just don’t stop praying, don’t stop trying. After you are done with prayer, sit and make Dua'. Let your emotions, your feelings, and your thoughts follow. Allah knows everything about you, HE loves you. He will never abandon you. Tell Him what your heart is going through right now, tell Him how much you want comfort and relief, and ask Him to increase your Iman. These simple, honest and raw conversations will make you feel lighter than you can ever imagine!

Making dua' is one of the best ways to demonstrate Tawakkullah(reliance on Allah).

5. Give Charity
Helping others creates feelings of peace and purpose. Not only does charity protects you from evil but it also has immense ajar and reward in this life and the hereafter. Islam is a complete code of conduct. Giving charity elevates your Iman and strengthens your faith. The relief associated with helping other people is remarkable.

The term ‘Tawaf’ is derived from the Arabic verb ‘Taafa’, which means ‘to encircle something’ or ‘to walk around something’. In the Islamic context, Tawaf refers to taking rounds or encircling the Holy Ka’abah seven times in an anti-clockwise direction as part of Umrah or Hajj, starting from Hajr-al-Aswad (the black stone). It’s among the most significant obligations of both Hajj and Umrah, without which the greater and minor pilgrimage would be incomplete. When performing Tawaf, pilgrims recite Takbir and various other supplications based on the Sunnah of the Prophet SAW.

- A practice of worship/an act of devotion that brings the pilgrim closer to Allah.
- Al-Bayt Al-Ma'mur: pilgrims perform Tawaf in tandem with the angels that circumambulate Al-Bayt Al-Ma’mur or ‘the Flourishing House’, the heavenly counterpart of the Holy Ka’abah, all the time. This means that the angels perform Tawaf around Al-Bayt Al-Ma’mur to worship Allah just as Muslims perform Tawaf around the Holy Kaaba in Masjidil Haram.
- The Circular Motion of the Universe: the act of Tawaf is also a reflection of the orbiting motions of the heavenly bodies of this universe.

Tawaf is an act of worship and regardless of the type of worship we perform, we do not ask why there are to be performed in a certain fashion. We simply perform them because God commanded us and in a way prescribed and taught by the Holy Prophet SAW.

We believe that Allah Ta’ala possesses infinite wisdom, which is why He never orders anything unwise, but we don’t necessarily need to know the science behind every command. 

The purpose of Tawaf is to represent the notion that our lives should revolve around remembering and staying obedient to Allah Ta’ala. By performing Tawaf, we reinforce the centrality of the spiritual focus that we face while performing the daily prayers.

1. Tawaf Al-Qudum
- Tawaf Al-Qudum is the initial, greeting Tawaf performed by any Muslim who decides to perform Hajj Al Qiraan or Hajj Al-Ifraad.

2. Tawaf Al-Umrah
- This type of Tawaf is carried out by those heading to perform Hajj Al-Tamattu or a standalone Umrah outside of the Hajj Season.

3. Tawaf Al-Ziyarah
- Also known as Tawaf-al Ifadah, Tawaf-al Ziyarah is performed on the 10^th of Dhul Hijjah by Hajj pilgrims, prior to returning to Mina to carry out Rami Al-Jamarat (Stoning the satan).

4. Tawaf Al-Widah
- Tawaf al-Widah is performed by Qiraan, Ifrad, and Tamattu Hajj pilgrims right before leaving Makkah after the completion of their Hajj.

5. Nafl Tawaf
- Like Nafl Salah, this type of Tawaf is a voluntary tawaf that anyone can perform as many times as they like, any time.

To sum it up, Tawaf is a mandatory step in Umrah and certain types of Hajj. It basically refers to the act of circumambulating the Holy Ka’abah in Masjid al-Haram in reverence to God. The importance of Tawaf can be judged by the fact that it connects you with Allah, reflects every orbiting matter in this universe, forms a necessary step in greater and lesser pilgrimage, and more.

Performing Tawaf is not complicated, but make sure you are aware of the prerequisites such as Ihram in certain types of Tawaf, purity requirements, and the dos and don’ts of performing the ritual. Also, there are five different types of Tawafs.

In addition to these benefits, Usrah can help individuals develop a greater sense of accountability, as they commit to regular attendance and participation in group discussions. This can encourage individuals to be more mindful of their actions and strive to live in accordance with Islamic values.
