Another example, in the battle of Okinawa the Japanese military took a defensive position, which means their tactics were different from the American military. Even though the U.S had all of weapons, The Japanese military had a different approach, weapons that were used are 139 aircraft's and most of them armed with 1,000 to 2,000-pound bombs and rockets. The kamikaze suicide pilot was the most brutal weapon, it caused more damage it killed about 3,800 kamikaze pilots during the war. Some were able to hit their targets even after the aircraft were crippled and the Kamikaze attacks sank 34 ships and wounded over 4,800.
