I am thinking of neutral award categories from the perspective of a gender-queer person. I think that having only 2 set categories for awards forces me to choose and put a label on myself, and lacks the needed representation for people like me. A question I have from this perspective is: Don't you think that without more than 2 categories, the people that don't identify as either male or female would rather forfeit and not participate in the award ceremonies at all?

I think that there should definitely be no separated categories, because if I was a non-binary person in film/tv, I would want there to be room for me to get an award. A question I have from this viewpoint is, now a-days in award shows, if a non binary person gets an award, what category would they be in?

I believe that gender neutral awards would be completely beneficial towards me, because it opens the floor to everybody, and doesn't force myself into gender boxes and stereotypes that have been set up by society. 2. I think that gender separated awards would indeed allow for more men to take home awards but if we don't abolish these segregations and walls it will allow for women and men to be seen as equal. 3. A question I have from this viewpoint is how else would we incorporate women and other genders into an equal and level playing field in acting and the entertainment industry?

I think that there shouldn't be a certain category for people who are transgendered; there should be one big category with multiple winners (ie, men, women, and gender neutral people). A question I have from this viewpoint is: would it be an appropriate decision to merge everyone together and hand out various awards, instead of one per male or female?
