For instance, the report might assess employee performance and let the boss know if they are productive or slothful. Reports are hence the data that provide information about the company. As a result, managers may control employee activity and performance to meet company objectives.

    The Hawthorne effect has a significant impact on controlling and management. It refers to adjustments in performance and behaviour brought on by observation or research. By setting implementation and monitoring, managers can create a sense of accountability and motivation among employees. Employees may become more motivated to meet or exceed expectations, which may enhance productivity. Furthermore, giving compliments and feedback show that the manager cares about the workers. Similarly, with this positive contact, workers are willing to work more efficiently because they think their manager cares about the welfare and morale of the employees. 

     
    In conclusion, controlling is a vital function of management that plays a crucial role in ensuring the success of an organization. It connects to management through the use of reports and the Hawthorne effect. By understanding and utilizing the Hawthorne effect, managers can create a sense of accountability and inspiration among employees, leading to improved performance and achieving the organization's goals and objectives. Additionally, the usage of reports takes corrective action if there are any deviations. Additionally, reports make managers analyse and evaluate the organization's financial performance and take corrective action if there are any deviations.
