I first learned English when I was in elementary school. Our elementary school has a very attractive gimmick, that is, the foreign language elementary school. I met a very kind English teacher. But when I was in the fourth grade, she went to another school, and since then my grades have plummeted. In addition, our elementary school hired foreign teachers to tell me some foreign experiences. So I became interested in English.

Learning IELTS is a painful experience for me because I have to memorize vocabulary and do various exercises every day. And my learning efficiency is not high, because the contradiction between me and my family in the youth rebellious period has affected my learning state. So I spent a long time learning IELTS. Besides, my grammar is very good, so my writing and reading skills are much better than speaking and listening skills. In the end, I got the score I wanted after I took the IELTS 3 times.

When I access to the York University, I study the York Bridge program to continue to improve my English Level. In the YUB, I learn lots of useful knowledge that I have not been exposed to before. I give a speech and debate in English for the first time, and I try to write a professional English paper for the first time. Therefore, I think YUB is a good project to help international students integrate into university study, and avoid the confusion of students after entering the university.
