Today I wont think of integration, I wont think of central high, and i wont think of the white people".(Beals 47)<br><br>The truth about this is that the children who were just children were treated poorly just because of there skin color. Melba had to pretend it was all okay even though it was and the truth is that it was not okay.</div>]]></description>

I had to face the awful truth".(Beals 47)<br><br>A young girl at the age of 16 was a able to realize that the world wasn't right and people were not being treated fear. She said her self that it was the "awful truth" and shes right is sad the things people trying to live a normal life had to deal with. </div>]]></description>
