It will run for 12 weeks there will be nutrition talks, cooking demos, budgeting workshops, wellness, citizens advice etc. 

The education session will run first and then one by one each person can do their food shop. 

€5 will allow a person to pick up 12 items and we will have a free fruit and veg each week. It'll be the equivalent to €30-40 per week of a food shop. We will also have a meal pack for people which – this will be based on the cooking session or food available that week. A membership with FoodCloud has been secured with a choice of food each week and delivery.

It's really important to refer people who need the service. This will be a closed group max 20 people so if you could support me with referring people that would be great.

We are hoping to educate the wider community around the social, legalistic, financial, and emotional forms of abuse present within relationships. As Client Support Workers, we are available directly to men within the Dublin area who may need support and advocacy when they are struggling with abuse of any kind.

It consists of 9 modules, volunteer work, and an 8-week work placement, all aimed at ensuring learners have the necessary skill sets to take up employment or progress on to further education upon completion.

Classes are delivered between 10am – 1pm, Monday to Thursday with afternoons used for study and one to one support. Fridays are set aside for volunteer work or further one to one support with learners if required.

While on the programme, learners will complete a total of 9 modules outlined on the attached Shaping Futures leaflet. In addition to these modules, participants are given the opportunity to undertake further training which may suit their individual needs and/or interests including (but not limited to):

·       PSA license 

·       Driver theory test

·       Forklift training

·       Barista training

·       HACCP 1 & 2

·       Manual handling

·       Fire Warden

·       International Computer Digital Literacy (ICDL)

·       Patient Moving and Handling

·       First Aid Responder – PHEEC accredited

·       Mental Health Awareness

·       Health & Safety Training

·       Work Equal – Confidence in Clothing including styling

Places on the programme are free, and eligible participants receive a training,  lunch and travel allowance* (depending on location/distance from the INOU Learning Hub). We believe the Shaping Futures programme may provide very good progression routes for people using your services or that you may know.
