1. In the 3rd Wish, Mr. Peters took the wishes he was granted and unlike most people really thought it through, the author seemed to be trying to say (as in Monkeys Paw) that we should be careful what we wish for, that we should think about things. In most stories where a wish is granted it goes wrong in terrible ways, in the 3rd Wish Mr. Peters wanted happiness, not finding that by wishing, he was very selfless and cared about others, he saved the swan, let his wife go back to his sister, etc. He learned his lesson and went on with life in content.

2. An unethical character would most likely be the banker from the Bet. He only cared for money and in the end didn't even have much, he seemed very restricted in a way, he would rather die than be held in a prison for life, he didn't show much interest in life.

1. The Old Man from the 3rd wish because he saved the swan and he had 3 wishes and he wished for a wife as beautiful as the forest and he did have a beautiful but his wife was a swan so she missed being a swan because being a human was to hard for her so he used his 2nd wish to make her happy and turn her back in to a swan so i think the Old Man was the most ethical character.
2.
