A skimmer is a device that is put over an existing card reader on an ATM or bank machine and it will read your card information. A small camera then records your pin number and within a few hours your bank account is cleaned out. A way to prevent this is to tug on the card reader to ensure it is not fake. Also cover your pin when entering it into the machine.
