This picture reminds me of how I started to be afraid of dogs. I grew up in a peaceful community & doesn't always mean that I was safe around something until I got chased down the road by a dog while on my way to school.That has changed for me ever since leading me to be scared of even little puppies:(

I was born and raised back in Fiji. Having to move to a whole new country was a major change especially in my life but I'm so glad that I was raised up in a place that I learned different traditional manners and also my own native ways.I miss my homeland but you know we gotta move forward in order to achieve new opportunities.

This image reminds me of my fear of heights.Knowing that I would one day ride on airplanes I immediately didn't wanna go. My first airplane ride was kinda bumpy but as time went on I got used to it and I just loved getting higher.

My first day of school in the states was kinda rough.Coming from a place where there was no electronics used where paper was everything and having to adjust to a place where electronics is mostly used was hard but thankful for some of my teachers for getting me through and surviving high school for the past 3 years.

While going out on a day out with my family in the mall,I slipped in a small potion of water that was on the floor. I felt scared and embarrassed. Whenever I would see a puddle of water it would just scare me away.

This image represents how the ocean, lake or swimming pool has been a threat and been a place that I also like. I 'almost' drowned while swimming in a lake back in Fiji but gladly I was being pulled up by my dad.Ever since than I'm scared of swimming in deep places.

My parents love purchasing Fijian artifacts or anything that just includes poly or Melanesian designs as it brings back the feeling of connecting back to tradition.

Once in a summer break back in Fiji I got bitten by a crab while trying to catch it. My hand was swollen which ended up getting worse and it just contributed to the fact that I'm still now afraid of touching it again.

My mother was one of the few that caught COVID-19 back in Fiji and it was hard for us as we were being placed on quarantine without my dad and brother by our side and it was only me and my sister taking care of her. It got to a time where she started saying her goodbyes but we didn't lose faith and we kept on encouraging her. It just brings back memories that mothers are always the strongest person in our lives.
