It's very difficult to survive there because the soils are thin and dry for trees. The three categories of Grasslands are the Prairies, the Steppe and the Savanna.They're often found between forests and deserts. Plants must be able to adapt to the lack of trees and heavy brush for shelter as well as the sasonal drought and limited rainfall.
