         <description><![CDATA[<div>1. That there are 3 types of materials depending on how much light goes through them : transparent, translucent and opaque.<br><br>2. Light can only travel in a straight line. It cannot bend around objects. Thats why shadows are formed, when an object blocks light or reflects it.<br><br>3. There can be many types of light sources such as the sun, a lamp, a torch, or a candle. By the way the moon is not a light source because it only reflects light from the sun. Some sources are man-made and some are natural.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>some light sources are man made and some are normal light sorces<br>I have learnt that when an opaque object is blocking a light source a shadow is formed.&nbsp;<br>I have also learnt that if one light source can make one shadow then 3 or4 light sources can make 3 or 4 light shadows.<br>Another thing that I have learnt is that during morning time your shadow is big and as afternoon comes your shadow gets smaller. As night comes your shadow gets bigger again.<br>i also know that if your light source Is in east then you shadow will be formed in west and if your light source is in west then your shadow will be formed at east.<br>&nbsp;.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>In science, I learnt that when an opaque object blocks a light source it creates shadow. I know that opaque means you cannot see through it like a fridge. Another fact is that when a light source gets closer to the opaque object the shadow gets bigger and when the light source gets further away from the opaque object the shadow gets smaller. A light source travels straight until  it hits a reflective object then changes direction.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><br>In science I have learnt that when an opaque object blocks out the light source it creates a shadow. I have also learnt that translucent objects are those through which only a little light can pass through so we cannot see through clearly. Transparent objects are those through which&nbsp; light pass through&nbsp; and we can see through them clearly.&nbsp;<br>The size of the shadow is dependent on the position of the sun.<br>In the early morning when the sun is not above our heads our shadows are long , by mid day when the sun is directly above our heads the shadows will become much shorter.&nbsp;<br>In the evening,&nbsp;&nbsp;the shadow becomes longer again.&nbsp; The sun is the biggest natural&nbsp;light source on planet Earth. When the sun is in the East the shadow forms in the west and when the sun is in the west the shadow forms in the east .<br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>In science I have learnt that :<br>1) The size of a shadow depends on the distance between the light source and the object.&nbsp; The closer&nbsp; the light source, the bigger would be the shadow. &nbsp;<br>2) Every object in the world is reflective. However some objects are more reflective than others.&nbsp;<br>3) Rough surfaces reflect less light than smooth surfaces because light rays get scattered  and some light is absorbed.</div>]]></description>
