High unemployment is tough for people who don't get employed because unemployment can have many physical and mental consequences. For example, if they don't get employed in the job they audition for, they could start eating a lot of junk food because they are in depression and they will also be mentally stable because of everything that is related to their unemployment like their family. In some situations, they are the only people in the family that are supposed to make money and if they don't get the job everything will go down financially for them. Also, high unemployment also has an effect on the country because they will have now to sometimes finance the people that are in need after their unemployment so the government will lose some money in that process.

Inadequate housing isn't only for indigenous people but also for a lot of people around the world. For example in South Africa, the housing challenges are very difficult because in this country, the products and everything start to get more expensive but the salary doesn't change so this cause the fact that people can't buy anything anymore like home and then after, they have to go somewhere else where the house will not be as good as it was last time. Also, with crowded living conditions, it's very difficult to live in those conditions because if there's a disease somewhere, it will be easy for it to spread, and people will catch it more easily. When it's winter, the temperature gets colder and it can sometimes be the cause of a lot of death in those little houses.

There has been a high suicide rate among indigenous people since long long time ago. Most of those suicide happened because the childrens were getting taken away from their families toattend to a boarding school, where the teachers would try to assimilate them to become more "Canadian". They werent allowed to speak theeir native language and if so, big consequences were given to them. Also, because of all of this suffering, many of them tried to escape from the school but they were always getting catch. So, the after decided to kill themselves to stop this suffering and there was a lot of them who commited this act. According to CVSD, the rate among First Nations people (24.3 deaths per 100,000 person-years at risk) was three times higher than the rate among non-Indigenous people (8.0 deaths per 100,000 person-years at risk). The main causes of them killing themselves were the consequences of colonialism, discrimination, community disruption and the loss of culture and language.

The lack of clean drinking water for Indigenous people affects their health because, in this dirty water, there are a lot of contaminants that can make them sick or even have cancer. The lack of clean water culturally affects them because they don't have the same spiritual connection to the water if it's not clean and it lowers the importance of water in those communities. they also use it for medicine but not anymore because it isn't clean. It also can cause skin infections when there shower because it's not good water and it could cause many other skin problems. For the boil water advisories, according to Cupe, Some First Nations have endured decades of boiling their water before it’s safe to drink. Members of Shoal Lake 40 First Nation lived under a long-term boil water advisory for 24 years, from 1997 until 2021, when the construction of effective roads made the building and upkeep of a new water treatment plant possible.

There's a high level of children in foster care because most of those children are still affected by what happened to their ancestors back in the days when they were trying to assimilate them and it was very traumatizing for them. This trauma was transmitted to their children and it went like that for multiple generations causing multi-generational trauma especially because of the residential schools. Also, because of those effects, more indigenous kids go into foster care and they sadly lose their culture that is very important especially right now because the culture of the ingenious people is slowly starting to fade away if the government helps finance these people to have a society as well organized as the others in Canada, they will become more structured and have a better lifestyle as a society and will after be able to raise their kids without letting them go in foster care.

There's a higher rate of murder and violence against indigenous women compared to non-indigenous women because the indigenous people suffered more violence thought their history because of what happened in the past and all the violent acts that were made to them. It then after went on through generations and violence was more part of the indigenous culture because of all the trauma that happened before. Indigenous men are now putting all of their violence on the women because of that and most of these women are sexually or physically abused by an adult during their childhood or even when they're older. This should stop as soon as possible because women shouldn't be abused like that and they should be treated like human beings.
