Edpuzzle is a site that teachers can use to create, assign and grade video assignments. The site gives you the option of creating a free account or a paid subscription. The only difference seems to be that the free account limits the number of assignments that a teacher can save.

On Edpuzzle you can either choose a prebuilt assignment from the extensive library or you can create your own new assignment. (You may also choose to start with a prebuilt assignment and make your own modifications.) Designing an assignment is very simple. You begin by choosing a YouTube video. If you do not want to use the full video, it is very simple to trim the clip down to what you want. After trimming the clip, you can add a variety of questions to the video. Each question can be placed wherever you would like it to appear in the video. Once an assignment is built, it can be easily assigned to students through Google Classroom. When the assignment is over, it will be automatically be graded.

Personally I feel that Edpuzzle assignments would be good for keeping absent student's from falling behind.

Greg Reger

One of the main things I use it for is safety quizzes for shop equipment. It helps me to be able to have documentation of the student completing it and helps from me personally having to check hundreds of safety quizzes the first few weeks.
The videos definitely helped me to be able to customize the Google Forms more and be more user friendly for the students. These videos will definitely be a helpful resource for me to refer back to when I need a little help with Google Forms.
Overall, I think Google Forms is a super helpful tool for teachers that are looking to give digital quizzes or tests. It especially has helped me with being able to reduce my workload of checking safety quizzes and keeping documentation of students completing them. - Andrew Valentine

I also use it often for review quizzes and checking prior knowledge. The videos helped me confirm that I was using them correctly. I did learn how to lockout a quiz as well as how to shuffle the questions. The videos will be a nice resource for if I forget how to do something or come to a point where there is something I am trying to do and know not know how to do it. I also wish that we had the app that you could use to convert previous quizzes or tests from google docs and easily transfer them into a quiz instead of typing it all out again.
Overall, I think that forms is one of the most useful tools to use in google and really helps me keep track of students prior knowledge checks, quizzes, and tests.

- John Leasure

At first I was thinking you could do the same thing in GoogleSlides, however, this app definitely offers more flexibility and personalization options. You can also add a book and have students read/edit it (not exactly sure how to do that yet though). I can see students using this platform to create their own recipe books, class portfolios, or even a personalized vocabulary, study book. This would also be a wonderful tool to use as an early finisher idea.

Nearpod! I am excited for the possibilities that nearpod has to offer.
Google Slides - Drag and Drop Activities

I have been using google slides for quite sometime, but today I learned how to make them more interactive for my students with the drag and drop activities. I thought I knew how to do this, but when I discovered how to make a background template that can't be moved - that was a gamechanger! I can see so many learning possiblities for my English classes with this digital activity. I plan on using this at the beginning of the year as a pre-assessment tool on literary terms. I am going to give them examples and students will have to "drag and drop" the literary term that matches the example.

Stacy North

The tutorial on the google classroom was very beneficial. I often times can eventually figure things out, but watching the tutorial provided some clarity and confidence for future use. Also, the google forms tutorial was beneficial. It can be daunting at times trying to get it just how you want it. The presentation again cleared some things up. Looking forward to applying what I learned.
DB

Flocabulary would be a fun and engaging way to present content and related vocabulary to students. It would be useful when teaching topics such as text features, fables, and fairy tales, just to name a few. I like that there are options for various grade levels, and students will love the combination of songs and information. I mean, who doesn't remember things better in song?! Hence why we remember song lyrics from forever ago so easily. This resource will be a lot of fun to use.
- Jewel Ames

I really wanted to expand my knowledge with using google sites as I have very limited experience with this particular app. I particularly enjoyed the tutorials on creating favicons which will help me more organized while using particular sites and resources for health class.

I also enjoyed the learning how to better create a student page with sites. I have tried to use this before a few years ago and struggled with helping my students while they completed a particular assignment while creating a page. I am definitely more confident in navigating and helping them after watching the tutorial.

I reviewed the version history tutorial as well. Although I was familiar with this feature on google I was unaware it was available for google sites and other apps (other than docs & slides). It is nice to know you can track when and how much students work on particular assignments while completing them on a google app. All very beneficial!
-Nate Parry
