The festival will be held with watermelon tasting, singing contest, and auction, and various side events such as agricultural product sales, ceramic experience, and natural dyeing experience will be held to provide participants with a variety of attractions. In addition, Taking advantage of the fact that there is no line that only our watermelon has, we gather people who created special mascots (pictures, dolls, songs, or dance etc.) to spread not only to other regions but also to other countries and present prizes or watermelons to participants who performed well. 
Watermelons are harvested from early August to October, and they will be opened in mid-September. It will held in september 22. There are many experiences prepared, so you can experience them, hold a singing festival and auction for three days, and the watermelon mascot competition will be held at 10 a.m. the next day, and you can participate at any time and submit it by 4 p.m., six hours later. And audit and award takes a week with experts. So, it starts in september 22, and ends in september 25, at 4 p.m.. And Award will be in October 2. Gwangju Youth Week will be held from September 23 to September 25. The festival holds cultural and artistic performances (EDM Festival, K-pop performances, hip-hop performances, etc.) for young people. It is to make enough money to reward farmers who have worked hard to harvest watermelons, and to promote and export watermelons and other Mudeungsan watermelons. In Gwangju cultural foundation, they will fund for helding our festival.
