Nicola: Today we spoke about ones ‘National identity.’ This identity is a sense of belonging. When comparing our identities we realised that similarities existed which then led us to be curious. Curiosity allows us to gain a deeper understanding.

Today I learned a lot about Guadeloupe, its geography, history and way of life. But I didn't only listened to the input we got, I also felt it by being in this beautyful natural classroom.
In this way I also thought about my identity and what is really me - as well as the others. Our intercultural lunch showed us a little part of national identities in an impressive way.

Today I learned that my experiences make me more curious and that this curiosity leads to more open-mindedness. Thus I get a deeper sense of identity because I start thinking about myself. But I must be aware that this development only works step by step.

Today was the first day of the course and it was a wonderful experience. It would be difficult to imagine another and best way to carry out this session of presentation... completely in nature! This is Guadalupe!
An important part of the session served to know each other and Rita explained us a lot about this Paradise.
We also reflect on our sense of identity, what and who we are and, of course, why.
We enjoyed a multicultural lunch with different food we all have brought from our countries.

The expectations that I had for the first day of the course were greatly surpassed thanks to the effort and excellent organization of Rita. The experience was like a dream come true:
- The place and time: the beautiful Bois Jean beach in Sainte Anne.
- Material resources: eight simple folding chairs and some booklets.
- The excellent company formed by a group of 8 teachers from Spain, Poland, Germany, United Kingdom and Lithuania.
- The theme: Internasionalization and national identity.
- Every Day reflections of the participants in Twinspace.
When schools get into International Projects, National identity and culture become more natural, so you can share and find similarities to connect to other people.
It's important to be open-minded, curious and respectful with the values. Then, action is also very important to try to change little by little the world .
I think that this course "A classroom with a door to the world" will help me to reflect and think a lot.
Quote by Ziggy Marley about identity:
"I was born by myself but carry the spirit and blood of my father, mother and my ancestors. So I am really never alone. My identity is through that line."
