The Asian Tiger Mosquito has a positive and negative effect on it's ecosystem. The negative impact on the ecosystem is that the mosquitoes role is mainly a parasite. The female sucks blood out of mammals including humans, that means they can carry blood-born diseases. The positive impact on the ecosystem is that they supply a food source for many animals. Bats, birds, and in some places spiders, all eat the Asian Tiger Mosquito.
