The Global Goals have helped to develop a stronger response in Tanzania to violence against women. Abuse of women has been very common and affects the life opportunities of women in many ways. To tackle this, police stations have created special desks and people to to deal with crimes involving children and women. These are in quieter areas of the police station and the staff wear plain clothes to be less intimidating. There are also NGOs doing campiagns to raise awareness of issues around domestic violence and encouraging more women to come forward and report their experiences.

Due to the rapid population growth, limited food cannot afford all those rapidly increasing demands. Extreme poverty stops people to buy enough food or makes them not eat meat which leads to the lack of proteins. Moreover, continuous drought results in bad harvest so the situation of limited food is getting worse. However, the rate of underweight children under the age of 5 has been gradually decreasing and UNICEF is continuosly helping the children's nutrition.

American, Heinz company, local distributor, and government support Micronutrient Powder Campaign for improving children’s health. The powder contains 10 vitamins and five minerals not always found in typical rural Tanzanian diets. Moreover, the hunger problems in Tanzania is more of lack of particular nutrients not general lack of food, therefore the government educate parents to provide appropriate food to their children.

The UN has worked with the government in Tanzania to increases the levels of education. Together they provided 11 years of primary education and 4 year soft secondary education for free. They also made it compulsory for everyone.

In addition, UN improved the teacher training programmes so that the children in Tanzania can get quality education. Also, different materials were provided by the government. Furthermore, there was an issue with different diseases spread due to poor sanitation and hygiene. Therefore the government improved healthcare and sanitation so that children are less likely to drop out of school.

Although Tanzania is struggling with this issue there are many groups and organizations working to put a stop on poverty. TASAF is a 15-year national strategy introduced by the Tanzania government. This strategy works towards reducing growth and poverty by paying the bottom 9.7% of Tanzanian households up to $23 U.S. a month. Other organisations such as UN, UNICEF and UNDAP that are also working towards reducing the rate of poverty nationally. They also work towards post-natal care for pregnant women and vaccination for all primary school aged children.

The increased use of cash transfers allows recipients to buy food of their choice in local shops, thus boosting local economies.

It has been documented that water shortage has been caused by population growth, high level consumption and climate change which has shrinked the resource of water.

Studies show that even in most rural areas where there is water, the communities have to walk for two to three kilometres in search of the commodity either to the public taps or where there are natural streams and rivers.
