In that page, Old Major said that all animals are comrade, friends, no matter what. After he said that, four large rats appeared to hear his speech, and then the dogs caught sight of them and ran to try to kill them. The rats escaped, and then Old Major said even wild animals are comrades.

The example that we provided is saying that a place that is supposed to kill bugs is overrun by bugs instead of the other way around. We found examples of situational irony: 
  1. The fire station is burned down.
  2. The police station is robbed.

These are example of irony because situational irony is when what is expected is the opposite of what is happening. For example, you would expect the fire department to put out fires, but it is burned down. Similarly, you would expect something that says, “Nothing is written in stone”  to not be written on a stone.

The three types of irony are verbal, situational, and dramatic irony. We found an example of verbal irony,“the name of Britain’s biggest dog was named ‘Tiny” and “a man looked out of the window to see the storm intensify. This example is saying that the mother is being sarcastic when she sees her son’s room. Since, his son’s room is actually dirty not clean.

The sentence is an example of verbal irony because verbal irony is when someone says the opposite of what they really mean which is what the mother is saying about the room.

This example is saying that there is a killer in a girl’s closet and everyone knows this except her. 

The example is dramatic irony because everyone knows something except the character who is actually going through it which is dramatic irony is because the audience knows something that the character does not.
