I grew up in Japan and the United States – Ohio, Michigan, and Utah – and worked in a civil society organization in Jakarta, Indonesia, before becoming a professor. I love eating good food (well, who doesn’t?) and doing outdoor activities, including hiking, kayaking, white water rafting, etc.
