         <description><![CDATA[<div>This man named&nbsp;<strong>Christiaan Huygens&nbsp;</strong>invented the first clock named "pendulum". He invented this clock in 1656, he also invented the spiral balance spring. Innovations to the mechanical clock continued, but only with miniaturization leading to domestic clocks in the 15th century, and personal watches in the 16th.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Clocks are devices that followed us during the long history of modern human civilization, from the times when sun was the only way we can track the time to the modern day when atom clocks and widespread expansion of digital keep us to always be connected with clocks that never show wrong time. But before all these clocks were invented everyone used to check the time depending on the sun. For the first century and more, watches were and are worn outside the clothes as jewels.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>Before AD 1200;&nbsp;</strong>Sundial and water clocks are from the 2nd millennium BC. The movement of the sun through the sky makes the possible and simple estimate of the time, from the length and position of a shadow cast by a vertical stick. If marks are made where the sun's shadow falls, the time of day can be recorded in a consistent way. However it is difficult to measure the exact time on a sundial, because the sun's path through the sky changes with the seasons. On the other side, the water clock try to measure time by the amount of water which drips from a tank. This type of clock was used in Greece and China up to the 16th century.<br><br><strong>A tower clock in China: 1094;&nbsp;</strong>This tower was approximately thirty feet high, which is designed to reveal the movement of the stars and the hours of the day. Figures pop out of doors and strike bells to tell the time. For example, when it's 1 o'clock, few things will pop out and the bell will ring. The power comes from a water wheel that's in the lower part of the tower. This clock is early example of escapement, this tower was made by a Buddhist monk named&nbsp; Su Song.&nbsp;</div><ul><li>Escapement is a mechanism found in devices such as typewriter, or printer that controls lateral motion of the carriage.</li></ul><div><br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>Clockwork in Europe: 13th - 14 century;<br></strong>In the 14th century there were more repeated&nbsp; references to clocks in European cities. The most complicated clock was built between in 1348 and 1364 in Padua by Giovanni de' Dondi. This idea was given by a professor of astronomy that works in a university and writes detailed descriptions of his clock. In the 14th-century he wrote a script of his earliest illustration of a clock that is mechanism with the escapement.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The famous clock in Salisbury cathedral, was made near 1386 and it's still working today with the original mechanism, the clock is a very plain piece of machinery. It has no face, it was designed only to strike the hours. Striking is the main function of all early clocks ("bell).In 1389 a great clock was installed on top of a bridge in Rouen. It remains one of the famous sights of the city, though it's the famous gold clock that was  replaced by a pendulum in 1713. The main thing about the Rouen clock is that it was the first machine designed to strike the quarter-hours.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>Domestic clocks: 15th century;&nbsp;<br></strong>The first domestic clock in the early 15th century were a small version of the cathedral clocks. they were powered by hanging weights, regulated by escapements with a foliot (clock), and showing the time to&nbsp; family's that are in a higher level, ex; the king. The clock look like a 12-hour circuit on the clock's face, but before the middle of the 15th century a evolution of a great significance occurs in a form of a spring-driven mechanism. The earliest surviving spring-driven clock was in the Science Museum in London from 1450 but now it's not there anymore.</div>]]></description>

Their about three inches in diameter, designed to hang on a ribbon round the neck. The spherical watch of this kind evolves in the late 17th century into the slimmer pocket watch.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>The pocket watch: 1675;&nbsp;<br></strong>Nineteen years after making his model of the pendulum clock, Huygens invents a device of equal significance in the evolution of the watch and that is the spiral balance, also known as the hairspring. Harrison is another person who also invented clocks and his&nbsp; first clock's name is "sea clocks"&nbsp; that was invented in 1735. His fourth watch was made in 1759, and that watch is more like a circular and 5 inches in diameter. This watch is made of a machine that undergoes the sea trials.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>A millennium clock: 1746;&nbsp;<br></strong>In 1746 a French clock maker named Monsieur Passemont, completes a clock which is certainly the first clock in the world to be able to take account of a new millennium. The dials can reveal the date of the month in any year,<br>almost&nbsp; to 9999. This particular clock takes four years to complete a single revolution. When it has come full circle, it pops in the extra day. This clock is still available and bought in the palace of Versailles.<br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>(2002-2016)<br>In 2000 to 2008 or somewhere near there the digital clocks were invented. They were easy to understand because the numbers were digital and easy to get the right time. In the 20th and 21st century nothing much changed, the clock were the same the only thing that changed is that now the clock do not only tell you time, they also tell you the date and the temperature. Their maybe easier for now day kids because sometimes the can't really tell you the time by looking at a normal clock but if you give them a digital clock it's way easier. You can also put an alarm on the digital clock.</div>]]></description>
