In what ways has your protagonist changed and evolved?

Adam has changed by becoming more mature. Adam has stepped up and does tasks than no normal teenager would do. Page 368: "After what you people did, we should kill you. But we don't do that. We're not savages. We value life." Adam also does missions like being on guard for enemies and flying over hostile areas with his ultra light plane. Adam also is more careful because he takes his gun everywhere with him unlike the beginning of the book.

The author warns us by saying people can be extremely dangerous and you have to prepare for the worse. Page 310: "I thought we were just going to talk." "That's my plan, but it might not be theirs. You know how I feel about a backup plan." The author is saying that it is ideal to have a backup plan just in case things go wrong with anyone unfamiliar. The author is telling us that are world can be a evil place.

What aspects of the Dystopian society are found in your novel? What statement is the author trying to make by utilizing that particular aspect? What is the change that your character/s are attempting to bring about? Do you think they will be successful and if so, will the change bring what they hope?

The Dystopian society in my book is destructive. People are worried about not feeding their families so they rob stores and threaten people so they can mug them. The author is making a statement that the people are getting more aggressive and desperate for food and power.
The characters are adjusting to the new environment. They are expecting things to not become normal again. The characters go into a survival mode and they are starting to grow food everywhere in the neighborhood. I believe that the characters will be successful but they will run into people that will want to steal their food and ruin their neighborhood. Page 205: "It was a new experience to be woken up by a rooster, but there it was, in Herb's backyard, along with the chickens, eight cows, three horses, and Mr. Peterson." The quote is about how the characters brought the new experience.

Adam is mainly a helper at part of the book that I am at, but one day, he may become a leader. Page 187: "We have hundreds of peoples to think about. It's not just about security, but about being able to feed all of them, and the only way we can do that is if we turn every backyard and park and playground into a little vegetable garden or pasture."

What and how are your protagonist resisting? Is he/she experiencing success or roadblocks, and how is the success or roadblocks being handled?

My protagonist is handling the situation greatly. Adam is not panicking and he is becoming more and more responsible as the book goes on. There have been so road blocks for my character. For example, Adam did not know what to do when people were trying to loot a store. Adam's biggest road block is not having power. Adam is handling not having power by just helping others around him. Adam knows that he can't turn the power on so he just makes the situation better instead of worse. Page 63: "Mobs can get out of control like a forest fire. You had every right to be terrified. If you tried to stop them they could have hurt you."

What are the common ideas taking place in your novel? In what ways do the common ideas effect your characters choices or actions?
A common idea in my book that is happening in my book is self-responsibility. It effects my characters because it forces them to trust themselves and close people instead of others around them. My characters have to be responsible about taking actions because something that goes wrong can result in suffering. There is no electricity in the story so everyone has to be responsible about food, water, and shelter. Page 94: "I spoke to Mr. Peterson to let him know he can count on you. I also told him I was giving you this. Herb pulled out his little snub-nosed pistol."

The characters are reacting to this by controlling people so they do not go crazy. Some aspects of this control happen in our world today. The main character "Adam" is affected because no one in his town has cars or electronics so some people are starting to go crazy. The longer it is taking to get the electricity, the angrier people are getting. People are changing because they might not think everything will be okay.

Describe the setting of your Dystopian novel. Is it similar to anywhere you have visited, viewed, read about, heard about?

I think the setting of the book is in modern day.
'' I know the book is later than the 1970s because Adam talks about how his car is a classic. Page 14: "It's a '70-something Omega and it is a classic." The book also talks about the students using computers in the classroom. Page 1: "We were in the computer room during study hall, our second-to-last class of the day."
Adam, which is the main character, goes to high school. So the environment of the book is in a high school atmosphere. The setting in the book is a familiar place because Adam is in high school and we both share that trait. The problem is a new idea that I have heard about. The problem is about all of the computers are down and pretty much everything that is electronic does not work.
