The main point of the video was to expose the injustices of The Atlantic Slave Trade as well as connect it to the modern world through its impact and consequences that affect today. This is clearly shown in the conclusion which says “In all of these ways, The Atlantic Slave Trade was an injustice on a massive scale whose impact has continued long after its abolition”. The bias is also shown at 2:34, where it says “As for the slaves themselves, they faced unimaginable brutality”. Some of the facts to back up this statement were that ⅕ of the slaves never saw land again. It also states that many died of disease, were abused, or committed suicide by starving themselves or jumping overboard. As for the facts to back up the impact it had on Africans, he says that tens of millions of able bodied citizens were imported. It also says that it led to the formation of racism towards the slaves, which still affects us today.

The Atlantic slave trade was from about the 1400s to the 1800s. But it has affected the world greatly. It spanned from North America, South America, and Africa. It forcibly brought over 10 million Africans to the Americas to work as slaves. The Africans were then used for labor intensive work. Most of the Africans coming to the Americas either died of disease, starved themselves to death, or jumped overboard. Those who survived were put to work in the Americas. Racism was a huge part of the Atlantic Slave Trade because most of the Europeans and Americans believed they were less important and were made to serve them. The Atlantic Slave Trade had a very negative affect on the world and even today we have problems with racism, unfair treatment of people, and slavery even though it's illegal.

The main point of this video was to explain how the Atlantic Slave Trade worked, and the affects it had on those indentured servants and slaves. The video showed some of the conditions these Africans were forced to live under. The Europeans shipping the slaves packed as many men as they could into the cargo area of these ships, leaving hardly enough room to move. This led to diseases that spread among them, killing many of the captives. Some of the people aboard these ships even tried to take their own lives, starving themselves or jumping overboard. The men were brought above deck to dance, which was to 'keep them in good physical condition'. The lives of the survivors didn't get much better once they reached the new world. They labored for hours on end each day, with some of the most work intensive crops, such as tobacco, sugarcane, and cotton. The Atlantic Slave Trade was an inhuman event in my opinion, and it led to injustices against Africans, like racism, which are still problems today.

This video gave us examples of the living conditions that the Africans were forced under as they made their way to different countries to serve as slaves. The slave trade hurt modern day because it made many kings sold their slaves and made money to buy weapons and goods to protect them from other enemies. This made those enemies want more weapons and thus created conflict and war that our modern day countries still stand by.

The Atlantic Slave Trade began in the late 1400's when Europeans in the New World needed people to work growing sugar cane, cotton, and tobacco. The Europeans turned to Africans when they were running out of indentured servants to work for them. African kings sold people in their countries that they thought of as criminals and prisoners of war. The slaves faced unimaginably horrible treatment as they were shaved, branded, and crammed onto ships where about twenty percent would soon die. The Atlantic Slave Trade developed racist ideology in America.

Over the span of 400 years, from the 1400's to the 1800's, 10 million Africans were victims during this time period. The Atlantic Slave trade has had a huge negative impact on Africa today. They were crammed into tight spaces were diseases ran rampant and were led on to believe that whites were cannibals and that”s why they took people who came back but the whites always came back for more. For the fear of being eaten, and to escape from the suffering, slaves committed suicide. Those of the slaves that survived were put through many years of pain, suffering and hardship.

The Main point of this video is to show how the slave trade has affected the world since the late 1400's. The Europeans traveled to Africa to find cheap labor and they did! They enslaved hundreds of Africans to bring back to Europe to work. When the slaves were being shipped to Europe they had to endure horrible conditions in the lowest levels of the ships. Tight packers crammed as many men as possible into the lower levels of the ships. Many slaves died due to lack of sanitation in their cramped space. Disease was as thick as mud down in those lower levels. The women and children were kept above deck and abused. The men had to perform dances to keep themselves fit and also make sure no one rebelled. The slaves were treated like criminals. I find that this event is awful and unjust. This event caused many problems that are still alive today one of them being the disruption of cultures and economies.
