More than half a million have already been displaced from their homes and fled to neighbouring countries, where the situation at border crossings is becoming more and more desperate. The Disasters Emergency Committee has set up a donation website, with the money collected being used to purchase food, blankets, and essential supplies.

Many of the national charities doing this are buried under applications and the official government scheme has gone deafeningly quiet over the last few weeks. Any info would be gratefully received.
