1.)They both contain war and violence.Lots of people die and or get injured. 
2.)Jacks tribe is like "ISIS"both of them want power and destruction. "Far along the beach, jack was standing before the small group of boys" jack has taken all of the power into this group of boys

The Lord of the Flies is similar to the Desert Storm conflict because of these three reasons, Jack is similar to Saddam, one is trying to stop evil, and Iraq vs. America is like Jack and Ralph's group against each other. when we think of the Vietnam war we think about innocent and brutal deaths. in the lord of the flies its the same thing except with children. the Vietnam war and the lord of the flies are similar in many different ways. such as:
1. in the lord of the flies civilization vs savagery is a representation of democracy vs Communism. 
2. ralph= ho chi minh. (they are natural leaders) 
3. The beast= the whole war. (both represent lost of innocents, death, killing, war, etc)

1. "im chief. weve got to make certain that there is not beast. cant you see the mountain?"- Ralph. this quote supports because Ralph was trying to make sure everyone knew there was no such thing as the beast.
2. before jack ran into the forest, jack invites the boys to join his tribe to hunt. this shows that jack only cares about hunting and being better than ralph.

Lord of the flies is example of how a person  who is away  from a place with different  rules without rules and different resources, it all goes out the window. It starts out normal enough but overtime it takes a turn for the worst. The first time  first time they killed a pig it was quick and painless, the second time it was brutal gruesome. The first time we death caused by conflict it was Simon who was beaten stabbed, and speared to death.
