1. Students think of what they were doing at/on specific time/day last week (e.g.: 4:00pm Friday).
2. The teacher then accuses someone of committing a crime (teacher's choice) at that exact time/day.
3. The accused student must give an alibi/explain how it could not have been them.
4. They must then accuse another student in the class who then repeats step #3.

T explains that there will be a multiple choice quiz. To select an answer (A, B, C, or D) to each question, the students must use body language as follows:
  • A - Standup with arms up
  • B - Sit down backwards on chair
  • C - Put hands on head
  • D - Standup and hop on one leg.

T then asks any multiple choice questions (can be related to lesson theme or general knowledge questions). The winner is the student with the most correct answers.

What to do: Check your pencil case. Identify a tool in the pencil case that has been innovated on the most. Describe how this tool has evolved in the last few years.

For example: I have a white out pen. Previously, we had to use a whitener bottle that had a brush. Now, we can either use the whiteout as a pen or as a tape. It is very useful for editing without scoring something out.

Using a free website from the US for K-12 designed to boost literacy: ReadWorks.
There are many reading resources that are graded which allows for several levels of difficulty for the same topics. 
My Favourite ACTIVITY:
Article a day
Website provides ready to use packs or you can select your own articles to offer each day. 
1. Students are given/allowed to choose one of the articles from the pack. 
2. Read individually or in groups to discuss and help each other with comprehension. 
3. Students go to new groups with all the articles represented. Each student takes a turn to describe their article and something interesting they learned. 
4. Final activity students record something from the article into their BOOK OF KNOWLEDGE.
