In the north it is rocky but in the south it is by the Atlantic Ocean were there are a lot of harbor the north east is rich with crops. The New England states are made up of six states Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, Connecticut. The New England Patriots led by Tom Brady are a big part for the people that live in New England. New England started to get made up after the colonies. Connecticut is a great place to see some revolutionary war history. Maine is known for it’s stunning sights. Massachusetts has skiing in very tall mountains. New Hampshire is known for it's beautiful white top mountains and there is a lot of snow extreme sports from visitors and also citizens. Rhode Island is known for the beaches and where most New Yorkers tom there summer off. Vermont is a great place to ski and just plain sight see the tall rolling beautiful mountains. It is a small place with a lot of little towns. The history of New England is very old, it was first established as a colony in 1620 under the crowns people but was discovered in 1614. The place was named New England because people settled over a the space and kept the same religion so they called it New England. It was named by captain John Smith. The Northeast is full of a lot of different Landmarks interesting, land features, and lots of people.

The Northeast is full of rolling hills, low hills, and broad valleys. The Northeast also has the longest hiking trail ever called the Appalachian trail which is over 2,000 miles. Mount Washington is the highest mountain in the Northeast and it's height is 6,288 feet tall. Lake Ontario and Lake Eerie are both located in the Northeast.

The Northeast region is about halfway in between the North Pole and the Equator. The winter's in the Northeast are very bitter, sometimes the snow can be over one foot at a time. The winter's there are also about 3months long. The summers are long warm and sunny. Kind of crazy to have long warm summers and long cold bitter winter's. In fact it sometimes get's so cold that Lake Ontario is frozen all over the top of the lake. Another fun fact is that it get's so cold bears hibernate [sleep] for 100 days

The Southeast has a lot of wood [forest] that is probably why logging is very important to the Northeast. Maple syrup is also one of the best in the world in Vermont. There are also a lot of granite, marble, and coal. Another important thing is fish farming.
