1) In small groups of 3 to 4 students, make a unique animal relief collage using recycled materials found in your surroundings. Your collage work should showcase creativity and sustainability by transforming waste items into a simple yet expressive animal shape. Pay attention to the textures and colours of the materials to enhance the artistic depiction of your chosen animal. Record your process and final artwork, highlighting how your project raises environmental awareness through art. Take a photo and upload it to your class Padlet.

It is an owl made of recycled trash such as paper plate, plastic forks, rubber bands, straws, wooden sticks, comb, plastic container cap, tape rolls and bottle cap. This project showcases how creativity can transform trash into art, inspiring others to think about new uses for discarded items, raising environmental awareness.

Instructions:

In your group, create and collaborate on your personal Exquisite Corpse illustrations in full colour based on the three animals your group has chosen.

1. Divide your A4 size paper into three parts: Top, Middle, and Bottom. drawing the animal's head. Only the fourth student should repeat an animal.

2. Pass your paper to the next group member to draw the animal's body.

3. Continue drawing the legs or tail until everyone has completed their paper.

4. Complete your Exquisite Corpse illustrations in full colour using any colouring medium.

Reflection:

We are extremely proud of our creation and how it all came together and the different textures of the different body parts of different animals. We learnt that although things may seem unusual we should learn to think innovatively and out of the box to come up with new and creative ideas to express our thoughts.

Seahorse

The seahorse is made from recycled materials. Its head and upper body are folded newspaper with drawn eyes and snout. The middle part is a pink plastic bag, and the tail is more folded newspaper, curled like a real seahorse's tail. The whole figure stands on a white foam block for support.

It’s made of paper(newspaper, magazines),plastic utensils, tape and blue tacks. The front is the shark head and they are made out of paper. The 8 tentacles come from octopus and are made from magazines and plastic utensils by creating 2 marine creatures and forming them together. We want to spread awareness in saving the sea creatures’ lives.

This is our draft of our original sculpture. We used cardboard and paper to create a draft which consists of three animals, seahorse, horse and an eagle. We decided to use these three animals because they each represent an element of our environment land, air and sea. We wanted to create and spread awareness about our environment by using recycled materials
