'' He bent over and touched her neck , then kept touching her cheek''. why did he not show any emotions ? .He keeps checking her face because she possibly could be dead or alive. He could wake up every day depressed with out his wife and be lonely.

''Strap him down and put him in a cage''.'' Shoot at his guts''. Its gonna show that characters don't want to kill him they care about him even though he killed candy. curly saying to strap him down in stead of killing him sounds like he is forgiving him for what he did to candy. The conflict is they want to kill him but curly wants the boys to compromise with lennie instead of killing him

'' He stole my lugger it ain't in my bag''. ''Curly gave him a shotgun , he felt big now''. Why should they kill him? This could change the character in many ways because he could kill Lennie with it. The theme there in a cabin talking. the conflict was they had to find ennie so he wouldn't escape or hurt someone.

'' Lennie had snapped Candys neck she flopped like a fish, Lennie had broken her neck''. The character is behaving like this because he doesn't want George to know what is happening. there in a barn
Lennie hid her body under a stack of hay. the conflict was Lennie didn't want candy to tell George about the incident with him killing the dog so he snapped her neck.
