The categories used for finding this kind of systems are closely linked to efficiency and not to the human life-death criterion. Additionally, it seems to be difficult to include alternative approaches and perspectives due to the power related to the Eurocentrism. For example, it might be true that the European idea of modernity might have been one of the reasons which have created a European understanding of the own superiority over other people and thus have led to colonization.
