I learned that knowing to assign roles is important in having structure throughout the lesson. While we want to give children the autonomy to choose, we need to be realistic as teachers and tap on the children’s strengths to uplift the whole class.

Add storylines to the games.
Infused natural materials in the activity.
Have children to be imaginative and creative.

I loved the whole session. The facilitators were approachable and they set a comfortable learning space for the teachers. I had fun with my team, Teh Tarik!, and it was nice to meet other teachers from different centres. It was such a fun learning experience.
