I am still in shock that you’re gone. You last told me about the exciting times at at CSU East Bay and leadership roles your were starting. I feel fortunate that before shelter in place you dropped by to see your TRIO family. That was just so you, a genuine and caring person who'd stop by say "hey" and catch up. I will miss our talks, getting food, bumping into each at Krispy Kreme (more times than I ever thought possible). I’d hoped one day you’d be sitting in the office next to me as a counselor and colleague. I feel comfort knowing you are at peace. I know for sure watching over all of us. You meant the world to me Julian and I will never forget you.

Julian since I first met you we hit it of because we were big fans of the Golden state Warriors. We would talk all the time about different scenarios for who they were going to face in the playoffs. I am going to miss you. Your smile brightened up the room and you heart of gold shined. Rest in peace dear Julian, you will be missed, prayers and condolence to the family.

Julian your sweet smile, humor and warriors updates will be dearly missed. I feel so grateful to say I had to pleasure to know you. Our fond memories from the TRiO office will always be something I will cherish. Thank you for always putting a smile on our faces. Julian left a beautiful impact in this world. He was full of love, passion, honesty, and grace. I remember how welcoming he was when I first met him in the International Club. He always was so humble, and he never failed to make someone feel wanted when they are lonely. He always proposed for us to go to club events and eat the potluck food if we were hungry. He always cared about the wellbeing of others. He was true to himself, and he was the most genuine and kind person that you could meet on this earth. Julian has left such a positive impact to all those around him, and he always brought a smile to our faces. I will always remember his kind words, his passion for music, and the beautiful soul he had that he shared with us all. <3

Julian was an amazing person who I will miss. I am still in shock that someone so beautiful will be gone. Thank you Julian for giving us all your happiness, energy, passion throughout your life. You were a passionate mentor and I don't know if you realized how much you impacted all of us while at Chabot. You are amazing person and I just know that you touched the hearts of every single person you met. I am so happy that you were able to transfer. I remember how happy you were to tell you you were transferring. You accomplished so many things and I am deeply grateful to have met you.

Hey Julian *waving like you did*. Thank you so much for being the kindest person to me every morning when we would see each other at the TRIO Office. I knew you'd always be there to talk about the Warriors, the events on campus or about life in general. I'm going to miss that smile and your hugs so much. You're looking down on of all of us, even your TRIO Fam. I'll watch that video of you now. And here's my response to your Facebook message: Yes, Jules, we did it, we graduated! My heart breaks because you have left our world and are now watching us from above. I was blessed to have you in my life and are better for it. My prayers to the Gomez family.. the lord took back an angel with him, sometimes the lord allows us to see a special part of him in a form of a kind soul (angel) by the name of Julian. He came to our world to bring us love, laughter and the lord. So, I will always remember that I was blessed because I walked with an Angel.

Hi Julian. Whenever I think about you, your big smile always come to mind. I would always see you at TRiO events, literally at every single one. Julian buddy! I remember the first day we met. You were one of the kindest individuals I ever met. You touched a lot of people's souls with your joy and kindness to all. In the office, I'll never forget your three fingered salute-wave every time you came in. You never forget to say hi to every single person, and in return, we could never forget you. I'll always remember how you lightened everyone up with whatever stress we had with work or finals et cetera. Even just you being there sitting, studying, or watching Ang Probinsayo was enough to make me feel okay. When I saw you do your job as a mentor (it's not even a job to you honestly), I thought, what a perfect candidate to do just that. To be a mentor to people. To lift people up and to help them go forward with their life. I'll never be able to think of TRIO without the care you've given to every single person in the program that needed somebody. You've inspired many to follow in your footsteps of kindness. We'll never forget you.
