I truly learned a lot through all your courses, especially BIB2014 Building Pathology and BIB2018 SULAM. Dr.Zahir‘s teaching helped me understand the subjects better because he used many real industrial examples and shared his practical experience. He also conducted the site visits, as they allowed us to see actual building conditions and learn beyond what is written in the lecture notes which improved my understanding and made learning more interesting.

Dr. Zahir was one of the most passionate educators I had during my undergraduate studies (2014–2018). His Building Pathology classes were always engaging because he believed learning should go beyond lectures and textbooks. Every class was filled with hands-on activities, site-based learning, and practical exercises that encouraged us to explore and think critically.He was also ahead of his time in embracing digital tools to enhance learning, making his classes interactive and enjoyable. His enthusiasm for teaching was evident in every lesson, and it inspired us to be curious and actively participate.One experience that has stayed with me was our microscopic study of paint on external plastered surfaces to understand mold growth on walls. It was a simple yet impactful exercise that connected theory with real-world application. Even today, although I don't work directly in building pathology, I still apply the knowledge and way of thinking I gained from his class in my daily life.His dedication, innovative teaching approach, and genuine passion for educating students have left a lasting impact on my learning journey.
