When we first meet Cherry Vance. It's my favorite scene in the movie for two reasons. One, you kinda get to know more about the characters. When Ponyboy tells Cherry about his brothers, and the rest of the gang it gives you an opportunity to get to know more about the characters. Since the beginning of the movie is different from the book, for in the novel it gives each character an introduction. The movie doesn't start with the characters getting an introduction, it starts with Ponyboy, Johnny, and Dally messing around. The drive in movie, when Cherry talks to Ponyboy gives the audience an opportunity to learn more about each character. I also thought it was kind of funny when Dally fell off his chair, and made a fool of himself. I like when actors break character. Also, when Cherry threw a soda at Dally.
