Hi and welcome or as we would say in the Jamaican dialect "Wah gwaan". My name is Shante Clarke and I am the 9th-grade English teacher at Vance County High School. Before my current teaching position, I taught for nine (10) years at the Savanna la mar High School in Jamaica. I love teaching and the most important and fun thing about it is interacting with my students. This Cross-Cultural Exchange Padlet will give us a chance to share and learn more about each other. We have teachers and students who will be sharing, both from the United States and Jamaica. Jamaica is one of the most beautiful islands in the Caribbean and by extension, the world. It is known for its lush vegetation which includes agriculture ( plants and foods that we export to other countries), reggae music, our mouth-watering and sumptuous dishes, our beaches, dialect, and people among many other things. Feel free to write as much as you want and also enjoy reading about each other's culture.

Hi our school is located at the western end of the island. In a parish called Savanna la mar. We are a Seventh Day Adventist private institution who caters to all aspects of life.
