This is familiar to me, but I do make a effort to provide gender friendly language and use a variety of gender examples, sexuality examples, etc

This is more inclusive, of course. Also, more accurate. I would prefer to be a student in a classroom that uses gender-inclusive language.

One worry I have is that the technical terms are reflective of western science terms which is itself cultural...but I appreciate this as a step for science classrooms...it does reinforce a particular cultural view of knowledge.

Appreciate the language and I worry about the ways that we are also creating gender affirming pedagogies from a western knowledge systems perspective....I wonder if conversations about why more intentional terms are important and recognizing that not all cultures have gender bianaries baked in...

different - almost everything has been cis-gender centric (with little to no mention of anything else) in my learning experiences.
