Writing Magic Realism

The main character of the story is Tita. Nacha is the cook of the family and is also half deaf. She teaches the girls how to cook. Mama Elena is the mom of Tita and Gertrudis. Pedro confess the love that he has for Tita as well Tita confesses to him. But Pedro is getting married with Rosaura. The main themes that this book has is about is cooking with passion and the love they have for the love ones. Tita was preparing the cake for Rosaura and Pedro wedding. While making the cake, Tita found Nacha dead in the kitchen floor. She was really devisteaded after Nacha dead. Tita wants to confess the feelings that she as for Pedro, but decided to be quiet. Tita has been through a lot with her expressing her emotions. One of her nephew die. Pedro saw her naked, she felt proud showing her flesh. A lot of new people are coming in the story. She still confused how she feels. Tita mom dies. Mama elena became titas spirit ghost, mama elena wouldn't let her go. She didn't want tita to be near pedro. Every time that tita was near him or talk about him, mama elena would appear anything she done bad or disrespectful. Tita was tired of seeing her presence, she diced to tell mama Elena how she really feels about her and about pedro. In other words she told her how much she hated her mom and she been lying to her face as well as her own person. Mama elena wanted to have a perfect family but instead they're never going to be no perfect family. But still tita had so many problems. In the ending of the book tragic, I wasn't expecting the ending of the story. I thought that Tita and pedro were going to escape with Esperanza, so esperanza wouldn't follow the family tradition in the beginning of the story when she was a baby. But no, Esperanza got married with John son. Tita waited a long time to be happy with Pedro. The end of Esperanza wedding, Tita and Pedro spend last night together. It didn't ended that well for them. Pedro die in the bed, the barn got on fire and tita started eating matches, they burned to dead. To me it was a awful ending.

https://www.goodreads.com/review/show/2565960650

Many parents tell their children the legend in their own version of La Llorona. La Llorona who had 3 children with a Spanish man, but her husband left la Llorona for a rich woman. She had a lot of courage with that. She threw the bodies of her children to a river. She was very angry. She was very sorry to kill her children, so she kills herself in the river where here kids were. The woman has become a ghost woman, Ay mis hijos!

The reaction most of the student was laughter because it was mostly a comedy of the La Llorona. The weakness of the short story was expressing the emotions and the acting. I guess you could say the strength of the short story film was editing in the play and that it wasn't that boring.

- I met Jessica a long time ago, I've known her since she was a little girl. She is a family friend, she is actually my godfather niece. Jessica was born in Jalisco, Mexico. Jessica is 18 years old and she goes to college. I admire her a lot for her way of being. I consider her as a mentor.

When I was interviewing Jessica, I was not so nervous, but it was difficult because every minute my little brother messed up. Jessica did an incredible job, the way she answered the questions, she answered them with confidence. (my opinion). But I should probably add more things about Jalisco. We try to meet multiple times, but Jessica works. I had the opportunity to converse with her and interview her, but I was not so ready.

Most of the questions were about Jessica's personal life and how she lives in Mexico. And how she spends most of her time. and her lifestyle in Jalisco. She enjoys going to Mexico, in the interview, you could tell how she expresses her emotion towards the place she was born. She goes through depression when she comes back to Milwaukee. The reason why is that she misses her family members that she can't see in regular bases, as she does in the United States.
