         <description><![CDATA[<div>Elias Howe was born on July 9,1819 in Spencer, MA. He died October 3, 1867 in Brooklyn, New York. Elias Howe was a American inventor, designed the first workable sewing machine, an invention which revolutionized garment and shoe manufacture.          <description><![CDATA[<div>Christopher was born February 14,1819 Mooresburg PA. He died February 17, 1890 Milwaukee, WI.<br>Sholes developed the Qwerty keyboard that is still in use today. Sholes wrote papers and became involved in politics. Sholes was a firm believer in mass communication.          <description><![CDATA[<div>Edwin Drake was born March 29, 1819 in Greenville, NY. He died November 9, 1880 in Bethlehem PA. Edwin was the driller of the first productive oil well in the unites states. Raised on farms  in New York and Vermont.
