I threaded the string through the cardboard — totally unnecessary. But I enjoyed it!

What works just as well is to tape the string down. You may want to wrap it around slightly and tape down on the other side of the border. Pulling the string taut is a good idea.

IMPORTANT: Only put the thread/grid on one side! The grid format allows you to "locate" objects.
